Questly ("we", "our", or "us") operates questly, a solo-freelancer task, client, project, focus, and time-tracking service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.

We collect information you provide directly to us when you:

• Create an account, including your name, email address, password, and security settings such as two-factor authentication recovery data
• Subscribe to a paid plan, including Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, trial dates, and payment method summary details such as card brand and last four digits
• Create freelance workspace content, including tasks, subtasks, client names, project names, due dates, priorities, categories, focus sessions, time entries, and reminder state
• Contact support, privacy, or legal inboxes
• Join the launch list, including your email address and limited campaign attribution such as UTM source, medium, and campaign

We also collect certain information automatically when you use questly, including IP address, browser type, device and session information, pages visited, security logs, and usage patterns needed to operate and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the questly service
• Process transactions and send related information including purchase confirmations and invoices
• Send you technical notices, security alerts, and administrative messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Improve and personalize the service
• Monitor and analyse usage and trends
• Measure the signup, onboarding, first-task, trial, and paid conversion funnel without storing task or client content in analytics events

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. questly stores only the billing identifiers and payment method summary details needed to show your plan and keep access in sync.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:

• Service providers who assist us in operating the service, including hosting, email delivery, privacy-friendly Plausible or Fathom analytics when configured, and Stripe for payments
• Law enforcement when required by applicable law or to protect our rights

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect forms from CSRF attacks, and remember preferences such as appearance. When enabled, our privacy-friendly traffic analytics is configured without advertising cookies. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some account features may not function correctly as a result.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your workspace data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited billing, security, tax, or compliance records.

8. Children's Privacy

questly is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
